These delicious Cheese Pasta Sandwich are filled with mayonnaise, melted mozzarella, and seasonings, creating a divine taste that makes them one of your favorite dishes from my recipe book. Cheese Pasta Sandwich Ingredients:
- 4 slices of wheat bread
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 tbsp mayonnaise
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 tbsp tomato sauce
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 tsp hot sauce or red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1 cup of prepared mac and cheese pasta
Directions:
- Prepare the spread:
- In a bowl, combine mayonnaise, and tomato sauce.
- Add chopped onions and some crumbles of cheese.
- Sprinkle salt and pepper to taste.
- Combine all the ingredients to obtain a spread.
- Prepare the bread:
- Heat tawa or pan.
- Melt 1 tablespoon of butter.
- Put the bread on the top and toast until it’s crispy.
- Toast on both sides and leave it aside for some time.
- Assemble the sandwiches:
- Place the mayonnaise-tomato sauce mixture over the bread after having toasted it.
- On top spread 1 tablespoon of mac and cheese.
- Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese over the mac and cheese.
- Add red pepper flakes to your desired level of spiciness.
- Top with the other slices of bread.
- Grill until the bread turns golden brown.
- Serve:
- Take it from the pan.
- Cut into halves and enjoy with hot sauce.
