Bombay sandwich ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoons of butter
  • 4 slices of bread
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • 1 medium tomato, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons of green chutney
  • 1 medium cucumber, sliced
  • 1/2 teaspoon chaat masala
  • 1 tablespoon Sev

Directions:

  1. Prepare the vegetables:
    • Slice the onion, tomato, and cucumber into thin slices.
    • Heat a pot full of water.
    • Boil the potatoes for about 5–8 minutes.
    • Turn off the stove and let the potato cool.
    • Cut the boiled potato into thin slices.
  2. Adding Sauce or chutney
    • Spread one teaspoon of butter on one side of each bread slice.
    • Spread a thin layer of green chutney on the other side of the bread.
  3. Assemble the sandwich
    • Stuff the sliced cucumber, boiled potato, tomato, and onion one on the other.
    • Sprinkle one teaspoon of chaat masala evenly over the vegetables.
  4. Top with Sev:
    • Sprinkle the Sev over the vegetables.
    • Place the remaining bread slices on top and close it.
  5. Grill or toast:
    • You can grill or toast the sandwich in a pan with butter.
    • Toast until golden brown and crispy.
    • Cut the sandwich into halves and enjoy it!
